Henington Christmas 2017 // Chicago Wedding Photographer

This Christmas we did something a little different. Normally on Christmas day we go to Larissa’s grandmother’s house for Christmas, but this year the whole family decided to travel to Ris’ uncle and aunt’s place in Melbourne, FL. Our east coast journey across the state was great and the boys slept half the way. Once we got there, the Christmas festivities began with an incredible lunch of homemade focaccia bread sandwiches and other yummy treats. For Christmas eve dinner we had Beef Wellington (Jay’s first time having it) and the fanciest mashed potatoes we’ve ever seen. It was as good as it sounds! The dinner was off the charts amazing and the boys did great having a nibble and then watching some iPad while the adults enjoyed ourselves. Christmas morning we had the breakfast of all breakfasts featuring quiches’, pancakes, eggnog, and various cakes for miles. By the time we opened presents, the boys were about to explode. Their patience was rewarded as they both got doctor’s outfits, magnetic fishing rods, awesome books, a bit of money for their college funds, and lots and lots of snuggles from their uncles, aunts and grandparents. We had such an wonderful time! We’re just sad Christmas is over now, but I think we’ll leave our tree up until February. Check out some of our favorites shots from our family Christmas.

Our Family // Montrose Harbor, Chicago
For those of you who know us, you know that our family is everything to us. One of the things we love most about being photographers is that it allows us to spend more time together as a family. So you'd think we'd have a million pictures of us as a family. And while we do probably have more pictures than the average person, we don't take near enough. Since we're shooting weddings, families, friends etc. nearly every day, when we're home we just don't want to pick up the camera. So every now and then we choose a day and do a family shoot together. This week was one of those times. We went to one of our favorite spots in the city, Montrose Har ...
