Henington Christmas 2017 // Chicago Wedding Photographer

This Christmas we did something a little different. Normally on Christmas day we go to Larissa’s grandmother’s house for Christmas, but this year the whole family decided to travel to Ris’ uncle and aunt’s place in Melbourne, FL. Our east coast journey across the state was great and the boys slept half the way. Once we got there, the Christmas festivities began with an incredible lunch of homemade focaccia bread sandwiches and other yummy treats. For Christmas eve dinner we had Beef Wellington (Jay’s first time having it) and the fanciest mashed potatoes we’ve ever seen. It was as good as it sounds! The dinner was off the charts amazing and the boys did great having a nibble and then watching some iPad while the adults enjoyed ourselves. Christmas morning we had the breakfast of all breakfasts featuring quiches’, pancakes, eggnog, and various cakes for miles. By the time we opened presents, the boys were about to explode. Their patience was rewarded as they both got doctor’s outfits, magnetic fishing rods, awesome books, a bit of money for their college funds, and lots and lots of snuggles from their uncles, aunts and grandparents. We had such an wonderful time! We’re just sad Christmas is over now, but I think we’ll leave our tree up until February. Check out some of our favorites shots from our family Christmas.

One Week Left
For 9 years I have been a part of the Regent University community. First I was a student, then a staff member and eventually even an adjunct faculty member. Before Larrisa and I move to New Haven next week where I will attend Yale, we wanted to take one more evening walk around the beautiful campus. And of course, the best part of being a photographer is that I can bring my camera with me and snap some gorgeous shots of my family. Here are some of the photos from our last walk around Regent:

Aiden’s First Birthday | New Haven Family Photographer
Happy First Birthday Aiden! Your dad and I are so glad you are in the world and we love you so much more than we can even tell you. You were the beautiful baby boy that your father dreamed about three months before we got married. Then when we got pregnant and saw you for the first time on the sonogram, I knew that it was you. I said, “that’s our boy!” The name “Aiden” was the first name that we suggested for you and it just stuck. Somehow we knew that you were our “little fire” (that’s what Aiden means after all) and for the past year you have certainly lived up to that and much more. Exactly one year ago today you were born at DePaul Hospit ...
